About ViralKittyTV

Our Story

ViralKittyTV started with a vet bill and a bag of cat food that made things worse. When Elena Park's senior cat Mochi developed urinary crystals, the vet recommended a diet change. Every "best cat food" article Elena found online was a list of affiliate links with no real analysis, no ingredient breakdown, and certainly no understanding of feline urinary health. She spent two weeks reading veterinary nutrition papers herself before finding a food that worked.

Elena decided cat owners deserved better than rewritten Amazon descriptions masquerading as expert advice. ViralKittyTV was built to be the product resource she wished existed — one where every recommendation is backed by ingredient analysis, veterinary guidelines, and feedback from real cat owners in communities like r/cats, r/CatAdvice, and breed-specific forums.

Who We Are

We are a small, independent team of cat owners and product researchers. Between us, we share our homes with 7 cats — from a demanding Bengal to a 14-year-old tuxedo with chronic kidney issues. Every product recommendation reflects real household experience, not theoretical testing.

Meet the Team

Elena Park — Editor-in-Chief

Elena has owned cats for 12 years, including senior cats with complex health needs (urinary crystals, kidney disease, dental issues). She previously wrote consumer product reviews for pet industry publications before launching ViralKittyTV. Elena handles all food, supplement, and health-related content, cross-referencing AAFCO feeding standards and published veterinary nutritional guidelines for every recommendation.

Ryan Choi — Product Testing & Toys

Ryan tests the fun stuff — interactive toys, puzzle feeders, scratch posts, and enrichment products. He owns three cats with very different play styles: a high-energy 2-year-old Bengal, a lazy 8-year-old tabby, and a semi-feral rescue who hates everything except feather wands. This diversity means every toy review gets tested across a realistic range of cat personalities, not just the Instagram-perfect kitten who plays with everything.

Dr. Sarah Kim — Veterinary Consultant (Advisory)

Dr. Kim is a practicing veterinarian who reviews our health-related content for accuracy. She does not write articles but flags medical claims that need qualification, corrects dosage information, and ensures our food reviews align with current veterinary nutritional science. Her advisory role adds a clinical check to our editorial process.

How We Research & Review

Every product recommendation follows our editorial process:

  1. Real-Home Testing: Products are used in our actual homes with our actual cats. Minimum 2-4 weeks of daily use before publishing. We observe engagement, durability, and whether cats lose interest after the novelty fades.
  2. Ingredient Analysis: For food and treats, we break down ingredient lists against AAFCO standards. We check protein sources, filler ratios, and compare nutritional adequacy statements.
  3. Community Research: We analyze hundreds of posts from Reddit cat communities, breed forums, and verified buyer reviews to identify what experienced cat owners actually use versus what affiliate sites push.
  4. Veterinary Review: Health-related claims are reviewed by Dr. Kim before publication. We will not publish medical advice that hasn't been checked by a licensed veterinarian.
